ElvalHalcor will participate in the European Metals 2026 discussion on “Sustainable Raw Materials in the Circular Economy Act”, with Ioannis Mytilineos, Senior Director, Copper Metal Purchases Department at ElvalHalcor, joining the panel dedicated to scrap, circular economy, policy coherence and the upcoming revision of rules on waste from electrical and electronic equipment.
The discussion comes at a decisive moment for European industry. The European Commission is expected to adopt the Circular Economy Act in Q3 2026, with the objective of accelerating the creation of a stronger EU Single Market for waste, increasing the availability of high-quality recycled materials and stimulating demand for these materials within Europe.
