The Process

Manufacturing process.

The manufacturing process for aluminium coil and sheet production, involves the following key stages:

  • Aluminium alloying and casting: slabs are produced at a thickness of 0.6 m, up to 2.5 m wide and up to 9 m long

  • Hot rolling: the slab is reshaped into coils a few millimetres thick

  • Continuous casting: molten aluminium is cast directly into coils a few millimetres thick, serving as an alternative to the alloying and hot rolling stages

  • Cold rolling: coils are further processed to achieve the specified thickness for end products

  • Thermal processing: Intermediate or final heat treatments are applied to adjust product properties such as hardness for further processing

  • Surface coating or processing: the aluminium coil surface is treated (e.g., lacquered finishes)

  • Cutting: mother coils are cut into strips or sheets using specialised equipment

  • Packaging: end products are securely packaged in pallets with advanced materials to ensure protection until their final use.
