Halcor NTT has successfully completed the installation, commissioning and start-up of its new state-of-the-art Heat Transfer Laboratory in Greece. Located within the same facility as its Outer Finned Tube production plant, the laboratory strengthens the connection between manufacturing, performance evaluation and product development. Developed specifically to support the Halcor NTT Joint Venture and its customers, it represents an important addition to the company’s technical capabilities.
The laboratory serves three complementary purposes: product quality validation, technical customer support and new product development. By providing accurate and reliable performance data for outer finned tube products, it strengthens the technical basis on which products are evaluated and developed. Its proximity to production also brings manufacturing expertise and testing capabilities together, supporting a more integrated approach to understanding product performance and addressing application requirements.
For customers, access to reliable performance information is an important part of product qualification and application development. The new laboratory enables Halcor NTT to support these processes with technical data, helping customers assess product suitability and explore opportunities for optimisation. This capability provides a stronger foundation for technical discussions, allowing product performance to be considered in relation to the requirements of each customer project.
Beyond supporting existing products, the facility provides a platform for continued development. Advanced testing and evaluation can inform the assessment of new product concepts and potential improvements, helping translate development objectives into solutions supported by performance evidence. In this way, the laboratory contributes to innovation while maintaining a clear focus on the practical needs of customers and the demands of their applications.
The successful implementation of the project reflects close collaboration between the Halcor and NTT teams. During installation, commissioning and initial testing, specialists from NTT China joined their colleagues in Greece, contributing their expertise and supporting a smooth and efficient start-up. This joint effort brought together the technical knowledge of both teams and helped establish the laboratory’s operational readiness.
Now fully operational, the Heat Transfer Laboratory is already delivering valuable insights for customer projects and development activities. Its contribution extends across the relationship between production, technical support and innovation: validating performance, informing customer discussions and supporting the evaluation of future product developments. These activities reinforce one another, helping Halcor NTT connect its manufacturing capabilities more closely with customer expectations.
The investment marks a further step in Halcor NTT’s long-term commitment to high-performance heat transfer solutions. By combining production expertise with advanced testing capabilities at its Greek facility, the joint venture is strengthening its ability to support customers with both products and the technical information needed to use them with confidence in increasingly demanding applications
