ElvalHalcor has donated a modern vehicle equipped with a state-of-the-art firefighting system to the volunteer forest firefighters of the Avlona Compulsory Cooperative, strengthening their capacity to protect the surrounding area and respond promptly to forest fires. The initiative addresses a practical local need, providing equipment that supports the volunteers’ demanding work and enhances operational readiness.
The official handover brought together representatives of ElvalHalcor, the Cooperative and the local community, highlighting the importance of cooperation between businesses and local organisations in addressing forest fire risks. For ElvalHalcor, the initiative demonstrates how targeted partnerships translate corporate responsibility priorities into practical support for the communities in which it operates.
The donation forms part of the company’s “By your side, creating value” corporate responsibility program, through which it develops and implements initiatives responding to local needs. Given the importance of early intervention in containing a fire, the new vehicle is expected to become a valuable operational resource for the Cooperative’s volunteer firefighters, supporting their ability to act when time is critical.
The initiative illustrates a practical dimension of ElvalHalcor’s approach to responsible growth: identifying a community need, working with a local organisation and providing equipment that strengthens its response capabilities. By supporting the volunteers who contribute to forest protection in Avlona, the company connects its broader corporate responsibility commitments with a tangible contribution to community preparedness.
