ElvalHalcor, as part of its “By Your Side, Creating Value” programme, supported the upgrade of the facilities of the Hellenic Army Infantry Academy in Chalkida, Greece, as well as the refurbishment of its event hall, contributing to a more modern, and functional environment for the people who use these facilities every day.
The Infantry Academy of Chalkida held a commemorative event in honor of Major (Infantry) Ioannis Velissarios. The ceremony was attended by His Eminence Chrysostomos, Metropolitan of Chalkida, Istiaia and the Northern Sporades, along with representatives of the political and military leadership, as well as officials from local authorities and regional institutions. As part of the event, the Infantry Academy also recognised and awarded the sponsors who made a substantial contribution to the upgrade of its facilities.
Representing ElvalHalcor at the event were Ioannis Koufopanos, R&D Project Evaluation Director of Elval, the Aluminium Rolling Division of ElvalHalcor, and George Mavraganis, Strategic Planning and Sustainability Director of ElvalHalcor’s Copper Segment.
