ElvalHalcor at DEFEA 2025
ElvalHalcor participates in DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens, the premier international defence and security exhibition in South-East Europe, taking place from 6 to 8 May 2025 at the Metropolitan Expo, at Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”. DEFEA is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence and of the Greek Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy with the support of the Hellenic Aerospace Security & Defence Industries Group (HASDIG) and the Hellenic Association of Space Industries (HASI).
ElvalHalcor operates in the defence industry, producing products for a wide range of applications, which it supplies to major industries around the world.
Halcor with ElvalHalcor’s copper segment subsidiaries (The copper segment of ElvalHalcor) produces:
- Copper alloy strips for the production of small and medium caliber ammunition.
- Cups for the production of cases and bullets for small caliber ammunition.
- Discs and plates made of copper alloys for the production of medium and large caliber ammunition.
Elval, the aluminium rolling division of ElvalHalcor, holds a significant position in the global defence sector, providing flat rolled aluminium for a variety of applications. These include naval ships, unmanned surface vessel (USV), armoured vehicles, anti-ballistic missile systems, and mobile operations rooms.
Elval has supplied specialised defence projects across numerous countries, establishing itself as a key supplier for various defence-related naval programs and coast guard initiatives. Specifically for US Navy programs, Elval has delivered over 25,000 tons of aluminium, supporting the construction of diverse defence vessels, including the development of specialised alloys for aircraft carriers.
Additionally, Elval contributed to the construction of the unconventional warfare naval vessels Okyalos and Agenor.
Elval manufactures plates and sheets from specialised aluminium alloys for the armour market and has recently initiated a program focused on the development of aerospace alloys for the aviation sector.
