ElvalHalcor: Honorary distinction for its contribution to the BrainReGain initiative for the repatriation of Greek professionals

As part of its overall strategy to support the new generation of Greek scientists and professionals, ElvalHalcor received an honorary distinction for its active contribution to the repatriation of Greeks from abroad during the annual BrainReGain event "Powering Greece Forward", held on May 6th, 2025 at Megaron the Athens Concert Hall. The award is the result of the successful targeted efforts by the Viohalco companies — ElvalHalcor and Cenergy Holdings — to bringing back talented professionals who had pursued career opportunities abroad to the domestic industry.

ElvalHalcor, along with Cenergy Holdings, actively participated in the ReBrain Greece initiative, offered valuable job positions and managed to integrate Greek scientists from abroad into their workforce.

The award was presented to Bill Karnazes, Chief Services Officer & General Manager of Corporate Services for Viohalco companies, in recognition of ElvalHalcor's long-standing commitment to attracting and supporting talented Greek scientists who excel abroad.

Bill Karnazes, stated: “This award is an honor for all of us both at Cenergy Holdings and ΕlvalHalcor reflecting our belief that our people are the driving force behind our progress and success. We are proud to foster an environment where Greek professionals working abroad can return, grow, and thrive in Greece—contributing not only to our company but to our country’s development as a whole."

Driven by a sense of responsibility towards the country’s human capital, ElvalHalcor steadily invests in creating opportunities for young professionals, engineers, and scientists, providing them with the conditions to build their careers within Greece. In this way, ElvalHalcor actively contributes to curbing the brain drain and enhancing the competitiveness of the Greek industry.
